Campaign for Memory Care Learning Center

We have adapted our campaign into a two-phase approach as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. While our goals remain the same, this approach will allow us to safely implement parts of the Memory Care Learning Center as soon as possible.

Phase 1

With a $1.8 million goal, Phase 1 includes launching a virtual education center and developing a large physical portion in the original plan.

These areas will include the front entrance, large conference room, reception desk, auditorium, and gallery/corridor, which will provide space for group learning, support groups, and one-on-one meeting space while staying within appropriate social distancing and gathering guidelines.

Construction is expected to begin in January 2021 and be completed in June 2021. As of October 2020, we have received $1,558,319 or 86% of the funds needed for this phase of the project.

Phase 2

Fundraising for Phase 2 will begin in the fall of 2021. We anticipate raising $750,000 to create four small group meeting rooms, three offices, and storage as well as renovating the public restrooms and a corridor.

We are inspired more than ever to complete fundraising and begin serving our community through the Memory Care Learning Center, virtually and in person.

How can you help?

While we can’t erase that feeling of helplessness and grief that many individuals and families experience after a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia, we can provide a continuum of care and support. With your support, the Memory Care Learning Center team can provide educational sessions, host support groups, share information about disease research and treatment, and much more.
Please consider donating to the Memory Care Learning Center so that we may continue to provide these services free of charge to the public. Donors help make remarkable differences in our ability to provide exemplary services.

Heritage Community Foundation accepts many types of gifts and greatly appreciates the generous and thoughtful support received from our donors.
